   Macros

This Dice Game makes use of a Macro to generate a
random number. Because macros can sometimes contains
viruses, powerpoint will issue a warning when you
try to open the dice file...

some functionality.

Then 3 choices.

For the dice game to work you need to click "Enable Macros".

--==================--
   Shaking the Dice
--==================--

To shake the dice, you need to click the dice image on
slide 1 with your mouse. This starts the dice simulation.
Resulting in a dice shake.

If the dice always displays a 1,
- then you are not clicking the dice,
or
- the macro has been disabled (see Macros above)

--========================================--
   Using the dice with your presentation
--========================================--

Because the dice makes use of a macro, the easiest way
to incorporate the dice into your presentation is to
get powerpoint to "jump" to the file called
"Dice-Just-Game-01.ppt".
The quick instructions for doing this are

In your presentation:
1) Draw any autoshape (e.g. the Rectangle)
2) Right click the autoshape and choose "action settings"
3) Select the "mouse click" tab along the top
   (if it's not already shown)
4) Tick "hyperlink to" box
5) Click the drop down triangle to change the
   "Next slide" drop down
6) Scroll to the end of the list and choose
   "Other PowerPoint Presentation..."
7) Navigate to the dice-just-game-01 and
   click "OK" for Slide 1 "Shake Dice"
8) Click OK

Then during your slideshow, clicking the autoshape with
the mouse pointer will open the dice game file, you will
get the macro warning just once. Choose "enable macros".
Clicking the dice with the mouse pointer will shake the
dice.

After you have clicked again powerpoint will return to
the same slide that "called" the dice. If you want to
shake the dice again without returning to the calling
presentation press the "Home" key on your keyboard to
reset the dice game back to slide 1.

--==========--
  Video Clip
--==========--

For powerpoint to be able to playback the dice animation
required by this game template, it is very important that
the video clip (.avi) is in the
******* same directory **************
as your powerpoint presentation file (.ppt).

For example:
If your presentation resides in this directory
c:\MyPresentations\Marketing\June\Advert-Schedule.ppt

Then please also put the avi file in the same directory
c:\MyPresentations\Marketing\June\diceroll.avi

To copy and paste the video clips to the same directory
as your presentation.

1) Navigate to where the original video clips are
2) Select the avi files
3) Right click and choose "copy"
4) Navigate to your presentation directory
5) Right click and choose "paste"
6) The video clips should now be copied in to your presentation
   directory

If you send the presentation to anyone, whether by email, CD
or over a network, it is very important that the
video clip (.avi) is also sent along with instructions that
they are to be saved in the same directory as the .ppt file.
